Wet crates

As of this August, the ‘Natte Krat’ has made it to The Green Village. The idea of WaterLeider Tijs van Ruth was placed right in front of a DreamHûs, so our residents are able to enjoy it too.

The ‘Natte Krat’ intercepts water and uses it – with the help of a fuse – to water plants. The idea is that the plants drink from their own supply, making watering unnecessary. It seems strange to carry water away and to feed plants with water from the sink. During these times of climate change, we should use our water more consciously. This means the ‘Natte Krat’ is also a technical means to create awareness.
