How do we efficiently ensure that a glass building such as the Co-Creation Centre is comfortably warm in winter and pleasantly cool on a hot summer day? By Converge, this is the TKI research into passive climatisation of buildings.
For this project, TU Delft, Van Dorp Installaties, Hunter Douglas and Priva investigated how good comfort can be achieved with very low energy consumption, while making maximum use of passive energy. Among other things, Phase Changing Materials, a heat pump, exterior solar shading and predictive control are used. The Co-Creation Centre uses a Building Management System that searches for optimal settings of all installation components using various digital twins for prediction.
During the meeting, experiences are exchanged and options for wider applications are discussed.
